Busy Bee

It’s a very busy time here in my studio and at the office. Lots of new fabric lines to get ready for market. You know how fun it is to work with new fabric and especially if it’s cute. This is a new line by Emily Taylor for Riley Blake Designs called Felicity. You can see the golds and reds here and there are also beautiful blues and greens.

This is my Butterfly Kisses pattern line called the Snowflake skirt. We have a lot of new trims at Riley Blake Designs and I have tried to use a lot of them in my projects. You can see the yellow jumbo ric rac above and then below you can see the lime green mini pom poms and black 3/4″ ric rac.

This is a quilt I designed out of Felicity. You can see more of the colors in the line. I think it has a lot of contrast and is a very unique look for quilts and projects.

Notice the great contrast in colors.

This is another peak at the Hooty Hoot Kangaroo line designed by Doohikey Designs for Riley Blake Designs.
I used the flannel here and was able to cut up pieces from strike offs and incorporate some other tone on tone prints from other Riley Blake lines to finish this quilt.
This is a quilt I designed out of Colorful Christmas. A new line from Riley Blake Designs from My Mind’s Eye. Don’t you love it. The colors are so vibrant and so much fun to work with.
Those trees were painful. Once I figured out how I was going to do them it wasn’t so bad, just time consuming, wondering if I would every finish it in time to be quilted for market. Look how cute all those little snow people are and the mittens and hot chocolate. How can anyone not love this fabric? Well this one is ready to be quilted. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
This is another little snowflake skirt out of Colorful Christmas using my Butterfly Kisses pattern line .
This is a new line of fabric by Jodi Taylor for Riley Blake Designs called Nantucket Summer. The colors are so bright and the fabric is very elegant. It’s a beautiful line that I’m sure is going to do very well at quilt market next weekend.
Can’t wait to show some of the fun things that I will be seeing next week at market.
