preview 20 year quilt

Here is a sneak peak at the quilt I am finishing for “That Alpine Quilt Group” It is our 20 year anniversary of when we first started teaching each other to quilt. Several women were picked to design a quilt block that represented our 20 years together. I chose 20 blocks and have assembled them. I just need to put a border on. I think that will finish it. I’m designing the border right now and when I have that on the quilt I will show you. It’s very nostalgic.

Wow! 20 years of quilting has just flown by!

I chose black as my background with varied reds, greens and pinks.

Can you see a hint of my cute sewing room in the window of my house that Nanette Merrill designed. I think it is so cute.

Up in the corner you can see a hint of the sewing machine I designed. When we first started meeting together at the little red church 20 years ago, we all brought our sewing machines. We really were the blind leading the blind when it came to quilting.

In the right hand corner you can see the little red church that we meet in designed by Janice of Broadbents. It is the cutest little red church.

This is a free quilt project I designed for Riley Blake Designs. You can download the pattern from the rileyblakedesigns.com website. The fabric line is Be Merry by My Mind’s Eye. I never tire of this Christmas line.

This is a cute baby quilt for a friend of mine.
I did the long arm quilting for her. I think it’s a sweet pattern.
Won’t some little baby be so happy in this quilt.
Here is another cute quilt that was a collaborative effort by some neighbors who were finishing this baby quilt for a grandbaby for a very sick neighbor.

I did the long arm quilting and I think another little baby will stay warm under this blanket.
