Nancy Zieman Hobo Tote Bag

I had a lot of fun deciding what fabrics to use and learning to read Nancy’s simple instructions and diagrams. Nancy provided the pattern and clover supplies to make this Hobo Tote Bag look like it was made at a factory instead of on my home machine.
Her templates can be used over and over again.

Of course, I used Riley Blake Designs fabrics and I chose Geekly Chic. These fabrics are a fun, unique collection of Geekly Chic prints with bright bold colors and patterns.
One of my favorite tools to use is the bias tape maker by Clover. I love doing vines for needle turn applique when I’m quilting and it worked just fine making the bias strips I needed for the front of the bag, handles and curves of the bag.
I loved how professional the bag turned out by using the Sew Lazy Interfacing that was provided by Lazy Girls Designs.Their product stood the test of being turned in and out and around about as I was sewing the outside and lining together.
Love, Love, Love all the pockets! This is a great bag for traveling because there is plenty of space and pockets to hold all your nick nacks.
Make sure you check out Nancy’s free blog giveaway HERE! There are some fun prizes you will want to win, so you too can make this wonderful Hobo Tote Bag.

  1. This fabric selection really makes the bag fun. Can't believe how large and roomy it looks. I really want to try making bags soon. Haven't worked up to it yet 😉
