Clancy’s Graduation Quilt

I love scrappy, simple quilts. This one is no exception. I used all my scraps in certain colors: green, pink, red, aqua, purple and yellow. I started cutting 2 1/2″ strips of everything. I made sure the strips were at least
6 1/2″ long but I didn’t cut that length until I  finished sewing random strips together.
Each strip then needed a white strip sewn to the side. The block consisted of 2 similar colors and 1 white. The unfinished block measures 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″
You can create this zig zag effect by the way you turn the blocks.
It’s best to lay everything out on the ground so you can see how all the colors come together and move the blocks around until you get the look you want.

I even used the rest of the 2 1/2″ strips to create a strip of 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ squares as a border between
2 white borders.

A great way to use up any left over fabric and super fun and quick to put together.
Happy Sewing!
