My daughter Tahmor sent me these cute photos of this darling car seat carrier I made for my new grandbaby girl, Nahla. Riley Blake Designs carries this pattern by Elizabeth Wyatt called the Zippitt Car Seat Canopy.
You can see the cute ruffle from the top view here that goes along the front of the carrier.
It has a zipper up the front. I put a cute ribbon on the zipper pull to make it easier for opening and closing.
You can see the whole view of the car seat cover. It doesn’t touch the ground so it won’t get dirty. It covers the whole car seat nicely with a few embellishments of ruffles and fabric trim.
It opens in the front with a zipper and you can see the lining is black and cream. I used the fabric line designed by Riley Blake Designs called Lost and Found. The black and white damask is sparkle cotton. It has a little shimmer to the damask.
Another view from the top. I like the convenience of being able to have the front open or closed. The zipper was a great idea.
This shows the tabs for holding toys.
I would highly recommend this pattern. I loved making it. I especially love the look and function of the design. Ask your local store if they carry Elizabeth Wyatts pattern called the Zippitt Car Seat Canopy. If they don’t then recommend they purchase it from Riley Blake Designs.
Happy Sewing!
