That Alpine Quilt Group February

I always say “better late than never.” So here I am at the beginning of April posting about February quilt group. I can blame some of it on Blogger.com, as they have been having some serious issues.  I thought about skipping over it but it was the fabulous Calli from make it do and her mum Leslie Ison. I hope you enjoy all the fun quilts they brought to show.
Love this quilt. This was taught at Ruby’s Inn this year.

I am working on this quilt. I have over 200 baskets. I think it’s about time to start putting those together. My baskets are all pink and red. Not one fabric is the same. This is a Black Bird Design pattern but I think I will change it up a little.

This was a super easy quilt that I did while at Ruby’s Inn when Leslie taught. These are half square triangles with a circle appliqued in the middle.

That’s a cute picture of Leslie showing her quilt with names on them. This is a signature quilt. She has a great story to tell about each quilt. I never tire of hearing about them.

Love this snowball quilt. Don’t you enjoy seeing all the scrappy fabrics? They’re timeless.

This following quilt has to be one of my favorites.

This is also on my bucket list of favorite quilts to make.

Leslie shared the following quote:
“We quilt for so many reasons-to escape the stresses of life, to create something beautiful to cherish, or to make a gift for future generations. Yet for me the greatest joy comes from those quiet moments every quilter knows. This is the time that is my own, when I can relax, reflect, and gently sew my memories into cloth.” *Jinny Beyer
I hope you have been inspired like I was and that you are now in the mood to sew all day.
These quilts are a timeless treasure that will be admired by generations.
