These fabrics are so fresh and happy.
The colors are bright and inspire sewing fun for days on end…
I decided to make this fun quilt using 4 blocks
measuring 12 1/2″ unfinished.
I cut 2 1/2″ strips and then cut those
into 2 1/2″ squares…
the block center is 16 squares sewn
together to create a 16-patch.
The outside edge that creates the star points are made up of
16 half square triangles and 4 squares for the corners…
all measure 2 1/2″ square unfinished.
The border uses the left over 2 1/2″squares.
I love putting black and white with bright colors.
It pops the colors and makes everything grounded and cohesive.
The sashing is where I added the 1 1/2″ black squares.
Where the corners meet it creates a black and white nine-patch.
