Houston Fall Quilt Market 2010

School House was a new addition for Cindy and I at Quilt Market. We taught how to embellish and use trims. We have added a new line of trims to Riley Blake Designs called “Sew Together.” This trim line includes ric rac, pom poms, lace ribbon, designer ribbons, buttons and embroidered flowers, cherries and strawberries.

This is Riley Blake Designs getting ready for sample spree. If you have attended you know how crazy this place gets. It is a lot of fun to see all the buyers going nuts over the new fabrics.

This is the front of the Riley Blake Designs booth. This showcases “Isabella” A line designed by Lila Tueller. It has beautiful corals, periwinkle and a multi colorway that beautifully coordinates to make elegant quilts, bags and clothing.

This picture is fuzzy but  it is the only one I took. It showcases “Sweet Divinity.” This line is designed by The Quilted Fish, better known as Amanda Herring. It’s a very sweet line that shows well in quilts, crowns, slippers, pajamas and baby bags.

Here is a better picture of the cute blues, pinks, reds and greens in this fabric line.

“Love Birds” is designed by My Mind’s Eye. It has bright, bold reds, greens and blues. It  shows well in quilts and projects also.

This section of the booth shows our “Sew Together” trims and embellishments. Our booth is open and inviting. We love people to come in and look and view all our new lines that we have to offer while they wait to place their orders.

“Domestic Diva” is designed by Emily Taylor. It has wonderful retro reds, greens and browns. We had designers design new bags and quilts to showcase here in the booth.

“Be Merry” is a design by My Mind’s Eye. It is this years christmas fabric line. There were fun christmas stockings and quilts and pajamas.

This line is “All star 2” A followup to All Star 1 which was so successful last year that we wanted to keep our customers happy by having another successful boys line by My Mind’s Eye.

“Quite Contrary” is a line designed by My Mind’s Eye and is so darling for so many projects. It has great reds, pinks and greens. It’s a very sweet fabric line.

On the right is “Daydream” by Cyndi Walker. Cyndi is a new designer for Riley Blake Designs and brings with her a wonderful warm and inviting line of fabric. Her colors are unique and beautiful and she designs fabulous quilts that showcase this line beautifully. On the left is “Hooty Hoot Kangaroo” designed by Doohikey Designs, better know as Shari Butler, who is also our graphic artist. She is a very talented local artist with a great flair for color and design.

Another look at our new buttons and trims in our “Sew Together” trim line. All of the trims match the colors in our fabric lines.

“Enchanted Garden” is designed by Samantha Walker. This line has a beautiful big bold main print with lots of fun coordinates. The colors are vibrant with oranges, pinks and blues. It looks great in clothing and quilts.

A view of the booth from the front looking through to the back.

Cindy and I were surprised and so excited to receive the Merchandising Award for Quilt Market in Houston Fall Market 2010. All that hard work seems worth it now. We were so thrilled.
