This is a new pattern using Sublime designed by Doohikey Designs. I love the fabric. It’s so unique. You can buy this kit at The Quilting Cottage in American Fork, Utah.
I used velvet ric rac by Riley Blake Designs on the center of the basket handle.
Here is the center of the block close up. The button in the middle is a self covered button. It you haven’t used those self covered buttons. Try them. They are very easy to make. This is a view of the whole quilt. The scalloped corners make this quilt charming and are very easy using the instructions and template in the pattern. The center of the quilt is ironed on and appliqued using a button hole stitch but you could also needle turn applique if you love to do that.
Here is a sneak peak at finishing the border for my 20 year quilt project. I have it ready to quilt. I think I’ll use black thread and do some detailed quilting. I’m really loving how these bright colors came together. It reminds me of the bright, cheery days that quilting for the last 20 years has brought to my life.
This is a cute baby quilt I just finished doing the quilting for. She’s a young mother who is having her second baby.
I think this block is very cute and the fabrics she picked are adorable. She did a great job.
This is a quilt I pieced and quilted for the warehouse at Riley Blake Designs out of Just Dreamy. This was our first quilt line for Riley Blake Designs. We have the last few pieces in stock. The line has done very well for us.
Just Dreamy was designed by My Mind’s Eye.
The pattern to this quilt is in the Eye Candy book I wrote and designed for Riley Blake Designs. The pattern is “Twilight.” It was made out of Andrea Victoria. This fabric line should be here in a few weeks.
I am headed at about 6 in the morning to LA to attend the CHA show. I’m very excited and will take lots of pictures to post next week. This is the quilt market for the scrap booking industry. I’m excited to be inspired and see lots of great ideas.
