Cindy and I were invited to speak at the American Quilting Retreat this week. It was so much fun to see a lot of my friends and to see what a quilting retreat is all about. Amy does a fabulous job of taking care of all these women. We each received this darling pin cushion that her and her daughters made.
We then received a little treat bag with a little notepad, lotion, tape measure and of course, chocolate.
The following are some really cute quilts from the trunk show that followed Cindy and I. This is a fun quilt with skate boards on that a lady did for her grandson.
Look at those cute puppies.
I love these witches boots.
Lori Holt’s cute sampler quilt.
There are 120 fabrics in this quilt and 80 pumpkin blocks.
The following are quilts that the American Quilting ladies put together to show everyone what kind of quilts they could make out of the Riley Blake Fabric called Bloom and Grow.
Inside those cute baskets are yoyos.
This is the beginning of the cute pictures I took of all my friends and their fun pin cushions, treats and projects that they took to the retreat.
Lori and Kim looked like they were having the time of their life.
I thought I’d died and gone to heaven to see all these women and their machines in one room.
Amy looks a little fried but she was working so hard to keep everyone happy and was such a great hostess.
A few pictures from the Riley Blake Designs table.
We shared how we manufactured fabric and how we work with artists to design our fabric. It really was a fun evening.
Wow. So fun Jina. I missed so much of this retreat. But I did get to see my good friends, whom you've got pictured here. I really like the skateboard quilt. My son would LOVE that. I think I'm going to start collecting fabrics he'd like.
