My friend that I grew up with in Australia has been here visiting for the last 2 months. When ever she comes to my home for dinner or a visit she brings me flowers. I’ve had fresh flowers in my home for the last 2 months. It’s been wonderful.
Doesn’t everyone love fresh flowers?
This is a fun idea to make for birthday gifts. My daughters friend had a birthday and we thought she would like this candy bouquet. We were right! Her mom said everyone was trying to take the candy but the birthday didn’t want anyone ruining her bouquet.
Here are a few suggestions. I put that green sponge called oasis in the bottom of a colored plant pot. I then taped (I used packing tape) candy bars to skewers and placed them where I wanted them in the oasis. I cut tissue paper and taped it to the end of a skewer and placed those in between the candy bars to hide the sponge and the sticks. It was a fun project!
I thought I’d show a cabinet I’ve been working on. This was an old beat up cabinet that was purchased for about $25. I sanded down the whole cabinet. It took about 6 spray paint cans and a lot of patience to get this evenly painted .I took off the hardware and bought new hardware. Now it looks bran new!
So many projects and so little time. I wanted to share a quilt I made for my sister and her husband to give to a doctor as a thank you. To make a very long story short and share an incredible miracle that took place, my brother in laws hand was crushed while installing our transmission. Between having the right people at the right time and in the right place a hand is slowly healing.
This is a sneak peak of a pattern that I am working on and will be released next week. It is called Sew, Cover Up! by butterfly Kisses pattern company. You can purchase it through Christensen Wholesale, Riley Blake Designs.
that filing cabinet is so gorgeous!
Lots of great ideas in your post – the candy bouquet, the painting of the file cabinet, the pretty quilt.
I will be watching for the pattern release. Can't wait to see!
