with Kelly Panacci
for Riley Blake Designs!!!
Kelly Panacci’s grandson could not be any
cuter in his owl knitted hat
set against a camping background.

Kelly’s inspiration for this
cute camping line

The colors and prints in this Road Trip Fabric
are rich and wonderful!
Rich greens, blues and reds with a pop of aqua
bring all the cute campers and animals to life!!!
Kelly challenged us all to come up with something
that we would take along on a road trip.
Of course, I can’t go any where without a bag.
(LOL… so far everyone on the blog tour has needed a bag)
***
I first made a bag with 2 1/2″ squares
so I could show off all the cute designs that Kelly created.
I was able to fussy cut the small prints for each 2 1/2″ square.
Each square was sewn together into
rows of 5 across and 10 down.
I quilted the squares 1/4″ inside the
seam on my sewing machine.
Once the squares were sewn together
I stitched the sides then boxed the bottom.
The lining was made exactly the same.
There is a casing at the top where the cording is threaded through.
Super easy and a great way to carry extra supplies or your lunch!
The fun tassel which hangs from the handle of the bag is made from a spool with some 1/4″ binding wrapped around the spool and finished with a antique button at the front. There is a piece of fabric threaded through the middle and pieces of torn fabric tied and hanging from the bottom.
Kelly thank you so much for letting me be part of your
Road Trip Blog Tour.
I had so much playing with the amazing colors
and fun whimsical designs you created.
With the scraps I have left
I want to make a few more cosmetic bags
to organize inside my larger bag.
You can never have enough bags!!!
Thank you for joining me for the Road Trip Blog Tour.
A special thanks to Kelly for inviting me to play with her
beautiful fabric!!!

Hopefully you feel inspired to go
and sew something fun today!
Happy Sewing!!!

So cute! My husband's family did a lot of camping in a small trailer when he was a kid. It would be fun to make things for his sisters from this fabric — they would love it!
Jina, you have outdone yourself! I love both these wonderful bags. The little one has it's own personality – all patchy and that big tote is to die for. It goes without saying, but if I make a bag as beautiful as that I will have to get some red boots too! : )
This is so fun and delicious! Love both bags and it's awesome because you can't have too many bag types! ❤️❤️❤️

What a fun bag! Thanks for sharing this!
I need to try the sew in flex foam, the iron on stuff wrinkles on me. That is a big bag, handy for camping.
