I am so excited to be part of this great magazine, Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol 5.
My block is called “Five of Diamonds.” The inspiration for this block comes from the beautiful solids from Riley Blake Designs.
The block is on page 46. The magazine features many of my good friends in the quilting industry who are so talented. |
I love the gray and pink together with a pop of white. The simplicity of the block allows the color to be showcased letting the 9-patch on point float in the middle.
I am so inspired by the use of solids and shades and how the colors work together to make a pleasing composition of colors and three dimensional design. I am working on revising an old quilt pattern called “Starry Starry Night” with solids. Here is a sneak peak. Look for it in the Riley Blake Design booth at International Quilt Market in Kansas city in a few weeks.
I am giving away 2 of these magazines, along with a fun surprise, so please leave your comments.
Happy Sewing!
Jina
