Prosperity Quilt was designed and created during a very difficult chapter of my life. I had just had foot surgery, which required me to be in bed for weeks during recovery. I left a career I loved because I knew I was needed at home to make crucial life changing decisions. We put our house up for sale where we had lived and raised our children for 21 years. Three of my four children were engaged and getting married within months of each other. I had to stay busy to keep my mind occupied and my mental state positive and thus Prosperity became my project. The name Prosperity came from a deep wish and dream in my soul. This quilt is near and dear to my heart and encompasses everything I love about quilting and sewing. It is machine pieced and there are several borders with hand applique. I love this quilt and the memories it holds!
