new fabric collection called “Knock on Wood.”
The inspiration for this modern fabric collection
was Deena’s teenage boys.
I was super excited when Deena asked me
to show these boy prints in a feminine way.
It was so hard to decide which prints to use.
I chose 3 prints.
The cream plus sign, the blue dot and the gray stripe.
Then I chose Billie’s Best Dress Pattern
I love the low volume prints with the pop of blue.
The blue is mixed with a pinch of teal and a pinch of gray.
It has that deep dark ocean blue color that is just yummy:)
You can find the whole collection of fabrics
here on Riley Blake Designs website.
Ask your local quilt shop if they carry “Knock on Wood”
and they can show you the whole collection.
I love Amy from diaryofaquilter photo of the whole collection.
It gives a great feel for the colors and prints in this
modern fabric collection.
My precious granddaughter, Nahla,
loves to model!
She has the perfect moves
and the looks on her face are priceless.
Isn’t she so adorable!
The designs on these fabrics have a hand drawn look and feel.
They are small in scale and very easy to work with.
I added one more layer of underskirt
to the Billie’s Best Dress pattern so I could show off
The stripes are uneven and crooked,
which give this design it’s modern flare.
Up close you can see the funky, uneven plus sign design.
It’s my favorite piece in this collection.
This pattern has no buttons or zippers.
It has a tie in the back. Super easy!
I enjoyed sharing my love of sewing and fabric!!!

including me in this fun blog tour!
